High Holidays 2025

Monday, September 22, 2025 29 Elul 5785

11:00 AM - 6:00 PM 1 week afterProvided Upon Registration

Dear Friends:

We look forward to getting together for meaningful and inspiring Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Tefilot in the spirit of Ah'dut and Ahavat Israel.

We anticipate, Barukh Hashem, a much greater attendance this year than in the past.  We are planning to determine this week, based on the number of registrations, if we can pray in our Makom for both days (or even one day) on Rosh Hashana.

On Yom Kippur, and as necessary on Rosh Hashana, we will pray in the Ballroom (Third Floor).

Please sign up on this link https://www.wsssynagogue.com/event/hh2025, indicating the number of adults (women and men, including guests), for whom you want to reserve a seat for Rosh Hashana and/or Yom Kippur.  Please register before September 9, 2025, to allow us time for planning.

Our membership comes with High Holiday tickets for the family or the individual member. Please renew or take out your membership today by clicking here.

Our membership rates are:
$1,800 per family
$1,200 per couple
$760 for individuals

Tickets are free for members. If you have renewed your membership, please make sure you are logged in so that the free member ticket option will appear. Since we need to know who is joining each service, we kindly ask that everyone signs up. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.wsssynagogue.com/event/hh2025

Additionally, we are also (humbly) asking that you consider us as the destination for your Maaser/tithe giving and that you support our High Holidays appeal by giving here.

As you know, this is the time when we raise a substantial portion of the funds that allow us to operate throughout the year.  We have become, BH, a full-fledged Sephardic center of prayer, learning, and education on the Upper West Side.  The costs of operating a synagogue are very high and, to date, a very small number of families have shouldered our budget.  We need your help to ensure our future and that of our children.

While no one will ever be turned away because of cost, we do need everyone to contribute to the extent of their capacity. You may give in one lump sum, or schedule installments as you feel comfortable.  If you need special arrangements please email Ari Afilalo at ariafilalo@gmail.com or Itai Azulay at admin@wsssynagogue.com.

For both H’agim, we will assigned seats for our members, registered guests and visitors to make sure that everyone is comfortably seated.

We will operate the regular children's groups throughout the Haggim.  For children who are too young for groups, given the space constraints, we ask that you kindly plan to seat them on your lap.  We appreciate your understanding.
